Enterprise Systems

The design team at Hartmann Controls is focused on Global Enterprise access control based systems. We currently have systems installed in some of the largest most complex structures in the world. Our systems have been designed from the ground up in order to integrate seamlessly with existing Global IT infrastructure. This is unique as many competitors have merely refaced their software and bandaged their hardware to fit; resulting in a much less desired end product.

PROTECTOR.Net software is completely web-based and uses the most current technologies with an open interface SDK Enterprise which allows our clients to write their own interfaces against our server software. This special feature provides an incredible amount of flexibility as companies can replace our web UI with their own, or can interface all functionality with an existing product of their own. We provide approximately 90% functionality via REST Web Service interfaces.

Our systems support unlimited sites across multiple time zones via Coordinated Universal Time. They can grow as needed with no limit on doors, elevators or monitor/control points. Individual partitions can be created so that only administrators have access to managerial functions within their buildings or departments and via User Roles, be able to define exactly what specific users can access. The feature rich systems that we have designed rarely leave room for requests or features we don’t already support or plan to integrate soon.

Our hardware is leading-edge, and employs some of the most innovative designs in the world. Because all of our controllers support distributed processing, your buildings will operate as expected even in the event of a communication failure. Our controllers are fully fault tolerant to the point that they are virtually indestructible. Our designs use solid state components thus will have no mechanical relays to fail over time. In order to ensure the best possible quality, all our own hardware is designed in-house and our manufacturing facility is strategically located right down the road from our engineering department. This allows constant communication and testing, and facilitates the best Quality Assurance Program in the industry.

  • Unlimited Administrators per system with customizable privileges
  • Unlimited Users per system with current controllers supporting 100,000 users. (Including Proximity cardholders, Biometric etc.)
  • Unlimited access privilege rules or user schedules
  • Full partitioning allowing multiple occupants to share the same system backbone while still protecting their privacy
  • All controllers operate at 100Mb or faster providing real-time feedback of entire system
Variety of controller options, designed to fit any need:
  • Power over ethernet door controllers
  • WiFi controllers
  • Elevator and IO controllers
  • ASSA Abloy Aperio wireless door and cabinet lock sets

Smaller Systems

Although the primary focus at Hartmann Controls is on developing access control systems for Global Enterprise solutions, our competitive pricing allows us to cater to the needs of smaller companies as well.

Our innovative hardware based on single or multi door controllers allows customers to start small, perhaps even with a single door and a handful of credentials. Your access control system can grow at your pace, and as such, remains efficient and economical. Several tiers of software are available, allowing customers to pay only for what they need. However, even our most basic system provides a very intuitive interface with rich features allowing you to administer your system from any web-enabled device including mobile devices.

New Installations

If your building currently has no access control or you are ready to completely replace your older antiquated system, you may feel overwhelmed with the choices you have to make. Hartmann Controls can support you through the entire process from design to operational training.

We have certified installers world wide who have been trained extensively to ensure that when your system is installed, things go smoothly and quickly and the final result will be nothing short of excellence. Our systems are not proprietary, so should you be unsatisfied with your integrator, we will do our best to provide you with an alternative company to assist you.

Here are some recommendations that we believe will help you choose the right system for your facility:

  • Make sure the system you choose has been developed from the ground up to integrate with your existing IT infrastructure.
  • Do not settle for a product that has simply been massaged to fit in the network environment.
  • Ensure the door controllers you choose provide complete flexibility and are PoE compliant.
  • Make sure they can be mounted at the door in a aesthetically pleasing enclosure reducing wiring and installation cost.
  • Can they be optionally mounted in an electrical room with all wires home run so you will be able to reuse your existing network infrastructure?
  • Will the system work with multiple readers from multiple vendors? You may in the future decide you would like to use a different reader style or type or you may just be unhappy with the performance of a particular reader.
  • You do not want the intelligence to be in the reader itself as this is the unsecured side of the door.
  • Ensure that the system you choose is based on newer controllers so they will be able to serve your facility for many years. The last thing you want is to perform a new install only to find out a few years later they system is at end of life.

If your facility currently uses an access control system - you may be looking to upgrade for several reasons. Your system may be failing and costing more and more to service; you may have reached the maximum limits of the system; you may need more features than you currently have or maybe you are just looking to update your overall security. No matter what your reason, we can help you select a product that will cater to your specific needs.

We have designed our systems so they can easily be mounted within existing enclosures to minimize re-wiring thus reducing your upgrade cost significantly. In many cases we can continue to use your existing readers and cards to reduce your cost and the impact to your employees. We have several systems to choose from, so we can work with you to find the access control product that meets your requirements and reduces the time needed for the retrofitting of hardware.
